The Society of Chemical Engineers, is a student's organization of the Department of Chemical Engineering , I.T. BHU. It has been playing a significant and enthralling role in the Department. It acts as an interface between the students and the experienced faculty, thereby, removing the gap between them.

It deals with the problems of the students, analyzes them and place them before the faculty for their advice. There is a representative of every year from B.Tech and M.Tech to handle the corresponding problems and the queries of the students. Meetings are then held to discuss the various problems faced and the ways to eradicate them. The various positions in this distinguished organization are:

* President
* Vice President (Teachers)
* Treasurer
* Vice President (Students)
* General Secretary (Students)
* Joint Secretary
* Class Representatives: One student from each year of B.Tech and M.Tech

The annual selection to all the posts above mentioned are done on the basis of the general academics of the respective candidates and the support of the majority of students.

UDBHAV is the annual chemical festival to display various aspects, ideas, progress and happenings in the field of chemical engineering and technology.

The meaning of UDBHAV is "CREATION" or "to arise from".

So,as the name suggests UDBHAV , lives upto its expectations.This event 'arises' the hidden talents in the former chemical engineers and is used for the creation of the a multi-dimensional personality.Udbhav nourishes the sporting talents by conducting various indor and outdoor games.

The Research intention of a child is brought up by Techinical Paper Prenstation.Many workshops and lectures are conducted by trained Professionals in their field. Even literary events see ebullient participation.

Overall, UDBHAV brings out the best in everyone and is undoubtedly the most awaited event for all the chemical Engg. Students.!!
